Bay State Cable Ties LLC, which bills itself as America’s leading manufacturer of nylon cable ties, is planning to boost production capacity by 30 percent with a 10,000-square-foot addition in 2014.
“Thanks to our loyal customers, we have grown from producing three sizes of cable ties in a small, 4,000-square-foot plant to a 50,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility and we are looking to forward to adding even more sizes and capacity next year,” sales Vice President Tim Bagley said in a news release.
The Crestview, Fla.-based company operates 24/7. It produces more than 28 types, colors and sizes of cable ties, including a patented EZ Off tie.
The expansion is also expected to create 20 new jobs. Further details were not available.
Bay State was founded in 1998 and has grown through acquisition and by developing new products and services.
The company owns Technology Plastics LLC of Torrington, Conn., a custom molder of fastener, medical, retail and telecommunications products, which it acquired in 2008.
The EZ-Off cable tie has quick-release feature, while a private-label program allows for customizing the tie with a company name and other information. | |
